Our ciders are coastal ciders. From our farmhouse we can see the sea off the coast of Zumaia. The sea wind caresses our apples, the watershed of our land flows naturally to Zumaia.
The coast of the Basque Country has been a land of cider for many centuries, a tradition, the coastal cider industry, that has never been lost.
Although in modern times this industry and what it offers commercially has also spread to other valleys and regions, cider has never ceased to be made in the coastal hamlets.
According to several historical documents, cider has always been a drink appreciated by seafarers,. In Zumaia and the surrounding area until very recently there were many cider makers and cider houses. Ekain has taken over this tradition and that is why we like to say, with pride, that ours are coastal ciders.

Our ciders are organic and 100% made with apples from our land, which allows us to preserve our traditional identity. But at the same time, thanks to the technical means and the know-how and technologies developed, we are able to make the type of cider we want.
