My name is Aitor Eizmendi, a resident of Zumaia, and in 2001 I started to market our organic cider under the brand name EKAIN.
The name of the brand is a small tribute to my mother, who was born in a place very close to the Ekain cave, a cave known for its cave paintings. From these prehistoric paintings we copied the horse in our logo, a symbol of Ekain organic products.

OUR APPLES
Thirty-five years ago, we planted the first apple trees and since then we have been introducing new trees. Today we have around 2006 apple trees in the grounds of our farmhouse.
